LANTERN - Nautical - Starboard Navagation - 12½" Brass - 110V -- Early 1900's - Price: 200 in Cardiff, Alabama

Refurbished early xxxx?s Brass Starboard Navigation Lantern. Based on the design, craftsmanship, and materials used , it appears to have been made by the Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Corp,, but the "PERKO" tag is not attached. Lanterns of this type were usually mounted on right side of the pilothouse and lighted while underway at night. This lantern measures 12½" tall x 6" wide x 6½" deep and weighs 2 pounds. It has a 4" x 4½" blue 112° dioptric (ribbed) lens which has a barely visible veticle crack just off center, but the glass is not broken and should not be a problem. The lens was originally green but has turned blue due to the manganese glass curing agent used prior to xxxx. Also, at sometime in the past a 110 volt light fixture, with 6' power cord and in-line switch, has been added.
